Welcome to ‘Bout Business Podcast 2024

Now accepting Memberships for 2024!

In 2024 the only place to access the ‘Bout Business Podcast will be here on the GambLou.com webpage.

The podcast is going behind a paywall for the purpose of creating a consistent stream of contributions/donations to the San Xavier del Bac Mission in Tucson, AZ.

I would ask those considering a membership to focus on these pertinent business directives:

  • Everything I do here is business. First proceeds from any podcast income will go to financing the last minimal costs of the new GambLou.com webpage.
  • Green Roll Media, my podcast partner has worked with me to initiate our momentum. In 2024, some portion of proceeds from podcast memberships (in conjunction with webpage fulfillment) will be remitted to Green Roll. They have produced a brilliant podcast and it’s time they too receive compensation for their investment into ‘Bout Business Podcast success.

MOST IMPORTANT

  • Investors who sign up for the podcast’s yearly membership (the Tap out, $199.99) will be provided regular updates on the flow of monetary contributions to the Mission.

For decades I have been theorizing on how I could contribute business proceeds to the San Xavier Mission and this is the vehicle I have chosen.

So rather than regard this as ‘Lou cashing in on his ability to provide listeners with winning positions on UFC fights’…. which will always be the case. I’d ask membership holders to regard yourselves as partners with GambLou.com in contributing to a cause that’s been important to me for decades.

As an independent sports handicapper, it’s critical that I try to lead the charge for independent thinking and acting. While the many podcast giants are mongering for hits, tweets, bottom line and selling swag to pad their wallets… our goal here is different.

The intention is to simply create a contribution stream that comes from the ‘Bout Business Podcast and is directed to the San Xavier Mission.

Request

My request is that Fight Enthusiasts consider a membership to the ‘Bout Business Podcast with the understanding that you will not only profit from the positions released via the ‘Bout Business Podcast (final 2023 profit: 20.83units, 10% ROI, average +127) but you will also be teaming with me in directing a stream of monetary contribution to the San Xavier del Bac Mission.

For more information on the Mission please hit the ’San Xavier del Bac Mission’ tab at the top of this webpage and you may view my history with the Mission.

I believe in Deion Sanders

It’s been many years since I handicapped college football however, I do pay enough attention to know that Arizona University is on its way to national standing, I believe the SEC is unmatched in level of player and level of play and I believe the rich will continue to get richer in the CFB sphere.

Now with that said, no one other than Deion could come into the quagmire of status quo college football and turn the world on it’s head like Sanders did, is doing and will continue to do.

Deion came to Colorado to create a feeder program for the NFL and in months he’s created the foothold to become THE MODEL for farm system NFL players.

Those who continue to be stubborn and find fault in Colorado’s opponents, approach or head coach they’d better understand that what we saw last Saturday was not An Apex for Colorado’s football team but a floor.

I spent time in football huddles from 1966 to 1993 and I fully, comprehensively, and concretely believe in Deion, his aptitude as a coach and the success that will immediately come his way.

Sanders is turning CFB on its head and those that are stubborn and refuse to believe come mostly from the ‘never been in a huddle before’ crowd.

Money Morning Profitability

This week UFC profitability took a hit although the deficit could have been much worse. GambLou ‘Bout Business results stood 1-5 -2.72u. Fortunately I felt the risk in both Diakiese and Herbert so the .5 unit outlays saved us some money.

The lone win was our Aspinall parlay but what goes unrecorded is the Daniel Marcos victory that sets us up with Jon Jones +117 in his upcoming title bout with stipe Miocic. Jones is currently -375 for that bout.

To date ‘Bout Business Podcast profitability stands: 59-58 +15.34u 13% ROI (+125)

I have released the first NFL Season total positions to clients.

Any interested NFL business people please hit the ‘NFL’ tab at the top of this webpage to see the opportunity I offer any interested in 2023 NFL profitability.

Discipline

“You will never have a greater or lesser dominion than that over yourself…the height of a man’s success is gauged by his self-mastery; the depth of his failure by his self-abandonment. …And this law is the expression of eternal justice. He who cannot establish dominion over himself will have no dominion over others.”
― Leonardo da Vinci

Today’s Profitable Sports Gaming offering revolves around discipline.

Yes, discipline is often discussed but rarely practiced.

The best example is to look at the month of June/July. There’s oh so little to bet on so does one look to hardball, WNBA or because you love football does one begin to shop there?

Those benefiting moist from bettors making college football, NFL positions prior to the season are bookmakers.

Injury, trade, suspension, team developments etc. all may affect your bet especially and most specifically if you are betting any over or ANY positive outcome for player or team.

Rather, let the fools and those starved for action follow the pundits on the airwaves who are only on to make releases and fuel interest in betting when in fact there is little.

We are aware that the sportsbooks own/sponsor/support both VSiN and the Sportsgrid outfits, eh?

My advice is this:

Use your brain, do your own work and find a strong independent voice somewhere that you can trust to bounce ideas off of. At the end of the day, YOU are responsible for your end of year profitability.

Practice discipline NOW to enhance profit long term as opposed to looking for ‘action’ now and impeding your profitability over the long haul!

It’s business!

Belmont Stakes

GambLou ‘Bout Business Podcast will drop 2pm PT. Access the UFC tab then hit the link to be directed tot he podcast.

OK Horse players below is Shue’s early week input on the Belmont:

I’m still on ANGEL OF EMPIRE (7-2) 100%!  As we know, the best horse doesn’t always win the Derby (see Epicenter last year) – but this nag can run.  He got stuck behind a wall of horses in the Derby.

He should shine at a mile & a half.  And don’t go to sleep on RED ROUTE ONE (15-1) either – another nag who suffered from that awful pace in the Preakness – but this lil guy can close!  In a nutshell – that’s all I have this early in the week

Now here’s Shue’s final comments on the Belmont:

Well, hmmmm, #3 ARCANGELO (8-1) is now on my radar.

I’m still on the #8 ANGEL OF EMPIRE (7-2), I just think he is the best horse.  And I will have some juice on #9 RED ROUTE ONE (15-1).  And will now have to include Arcangelo in there somewhere.  The field no doubt will be over-boxed because so few nags are entered. So not much payoff if the chalk hits.

But should an 8-9-3 hit the wire in that order, then it’s cashing time.  Good luck and have a great day!

I’ll use Shue’s three nags in an exacta box for $10.00 and a trifecta box for $5.00.

Brutha Shue’s Preakness Stakes breakdown

 2023 Preakness Stakes

Welcome to Brutha Shue’s 2023 Preakness breakdown. Shue returns to GambLou after having covered the Nags for me since college days which is almost before horse racing!

Anyway, Shue’s perspective is keen and over the year’s we’ve cashed many times.

I’ll offer my bets after his breakdown.

GL to everyone.

—————————————————

Lou, first of all, the #8, FIRST MISSION (5-2), was scratched early Friday – and a viable contender he was.  So now, an already short field just got shorter.

I’m going to fade #3 MAGE (8-5) a bit here and roll with Rosario and Asmussen and the #5, RED ROUTE ONE (10-1).  He’s a super deep closer who scorched the field in his most recent effort in the Bath House Row Stakes, reeling in eight horses in a mad dash to the wire, closing that last furlong in 11 seconds!

A slow pace here will not help him or Mage for that matter, but just hoping Joel will get Red rolling early to catch the leaders.

The #6, PERFORM (15-1) is another one who can close quickly.  Although he has not run-in great company, maybe ole’ Shug will have him ready to hit a 90+ Beyer for the first time and get him to…Perform!  He too, will be 10 lengths off the lead going into the far turn – so yes, he will also come from way, way back.

I think these two will make for an exciting finish to get to the wire first at Pimlico.  MAGE (8-5) perhaps to hold on to 2nd after being nipped at the wire…maybe?

Shue’s wagers

 $20.00: W-P-S #5 Red Route One (10-1) $60.00

$5.00: W-P-S #6 Perform (15-1)               $15.00

$5.00: EX Box 3-5-6                                       $30.00

                                                    #3 Mage; #5 Red Route One; #6 Perform (15-1)

Lou’s wagers

Right now, I’m going to take the #9 Fiaza, the Baffert chalk in the Black-Eyed Susan as the first leg in a Black-Eyed Susan to Preakness daily double.
Leg two: I’ll use the #1 National Treasure 4/1 (Baffert has something to prove?) who will now probably be bet hard and the #5 Shue’s Red Route One (10/1)

I’ll bet $20.00 on each DD wager for a total of $40.00 which is in play today.

I’ll pipe in again tomorrow with Preakness positions!
